Agnes Lucile Watson
Ocala, Florida — Agnes Lucile Watson, a long-time resident of Lakeland, Florida and resident of Ocala since 2008, died Saturday the 18th of April in Hospice’s Legacy House.
Born October 2nd, 1929 in Monroeville, Alabama area to Fred and Ida Mae Smith. Agnes received a Bachelor of Arts in English and requirements for her teaching certification from Asbury College, Wilmore, Kentucky. After graduating in 1952, she married Judge Watson whom she met at Asbury. Judge and Agnes had three children together and remained happily married until his passing in 2008.
Agnes taught in various schools in Indiana, Kentucky, Arizona and Florida nurturing children before retiring after 25 years from Lena Vista Elementary, Auburndale, Florida.
She is survived by her sons; David and Jim, her daughter; Mary, brother; Jack and sister; Mary Ann, along with 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
