Lizzibelle Sells passed away June 9th of natural causes at her home in Caldwell at the age of 88. Lizzie was born near Talala, Oklahoma on September 8, 1922 as the daughter of Charles and Bessie Hawkins. She grew up and attended school in Willow Springs, Mo. She married Edgar Sells June 19, 1940 in West Plains Mo.. Lizzie and Ed moved to Idaho in 1942 to work in the fields. Ed entered the Army that winter and Lizzie worked for Simplot until Ed returned from World War II. They bought a farm on Apple Valley road near Parma in 1946 where they lived and raised their four sons. Together, Lizzie and Ed built a dairy operation and farmed in Apple Valley where they resided for the next 62 years. Lizzie became extensively involved with the Old Fort Boise Historical Society and the Senior Citizens Center.  In 2008 they moved into the Autumn Wind Assisted living center in Caldwell. The family would like to thank the employees of Autumn Wind for the loving care that Lizzie received the last 3 years.

Lizzie was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Daisy Gushwa, brothers, George, Charles and Lloyd Hawkins. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ed Sells of Caldwell, sons, Terry (Diane) Sells of Meridian, Dave ( Karen) Sells of Nampa, Tom ( Barbara) Sells of Parma and John (Kenah) Sells of Parma,  brothers, Clarence Hawkins of Claremont, Calif., Gerry Hawkins of LaVerne, Calif., sister, Bessie Franklin of Payette, Id., 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.
