We said goodbye to our Grandmother and Friend on March 20, 2008. Our Grandmother, “Granny”, Agnes Lee Woodall Glenn, moved here with our grandfather, James Alexander Glenn, from Vinita, Oklahoma around 1968. They lived in DeFuniak Springs, Florida and raised racing Greyhounds for a living both in Oklahoma and here until our grandfather passed away in 1980. Jim and Agnes married on Valentine’s Day when Granny was still in her teenage years. They remained married for 54 years and were inseparable until our Grandfather passed away; afterward, she lived alone being faithful to his memory for almost another 30 years. She was 99 years old at the time of her passing.
She had a wonderful sense of humor, and like our Grandfather, loved to laugh and make others laugh.
Loving her and missing her always are her three Grandchildren and their spouses, Mike (Micki), Greg (Debbie) and Erin(Pistol); and her Great Grandchildren, Josh, Seth, Tyler, Matthew, Sam, and Noah.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Crystal Bay in Sandestin for taking such good care of Granny. Also, we would like to thank Dr. Sites and Dr. Buckelew for years of compassionate medical care.
