Averill Park – Agnes (Olbert) Hack was born October 24, 1916 in Mondovi, WI to Joseph Olbert and Ruth (Harvey) Olbert and died January 5, 2019 at Van Rensselaer Manor.
Agnes spent her infant years in WI then moved with her family to Milton, Saratoga Co., NY about 1919. From there she moved with her family to Pittsfield, MA and ultimately to Averill Park, NY where she spent most of her life. She married her high school sweetheart Charles Hack in 1941 and raised her family in Averill Park, NY.
Agnes was a member of the Sand Lake Baptist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and a charter member of Tent 107 Catherine S Lawrence-Daughters of Union Veterans. Her passion was her family and bowling. She bowled in early leagues with her husband and later as a member of the Hi-Way Leisurettes on Main Ave in Wynantskill well into her 90’s.
Agnes is survived by her sons, Charles (Mary) Hack of Delanson, NY and Gary (Jerry) Hack of West Sand Lake. Also 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Hack; two brothers, Blaine Olbert of Newcomb, NY, and Joseph Scouller of Sand Lake, NY; a sister, Marion Raninen of Concord, NH; a son, Richard Hack of Averill Park and a granddaughter, Kristen Hack of West Sand Lake, NY.
The family would like to thank the staff on the third floor of Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home for the love and care she received.
