On February 5th, 2021, Agnes Elizabeth Rood Franklin passed away quietly.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, William Frank Franklin on April 15, 1995. Agnes is survived by her son, William Douglas of New Bern, NC., and his wife, Renee. Three grandchildren; William, Justin, Meredith Franklin Jefferson and Ashley Franklin Rushin; five great grandchildren; Scarlett Jefferson, Caroline Jefferson, Taylor Rushin, Paige Rushin and Riley Rushin.
She is survived by family members, including her niece and lifelong travel partner, Florence Selleck, nephew Horace Rood and his life partner Angie Squier and nephew David Ruppen. In addition, she is survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family members. She was also survived by a special family friend Elaine Rogers and numerous lifelong friends, children of those acquaintances and friends she made during her life.
Agnes enjoyed a full life and was ready to celebrate her 101st birthday on May 12 of 2021.
