Middlebury- Mrs. Agnes (LeRoy) Colina, 96, died Tuesday, March 31 at Waterbury Extended Care Facility in Watertown. She was the widow of Thomas W. Colina, Sr.
Mrs. Colina was born April 14, 1912 in Waterbury daughter of the late William C. and Anna (O’Meara) LeRoy and was the last surviving member of her family, one of nine children. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Grammar School, Wilby High School and St. Mary’s School of Nursing. She had worked as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Hospital until her marriage. She lived most of her life in Middlebury and was a wonderful homemaker and cook who enjoyed entertaining, knitting and created many beautiful pieces of Crewel embroidery.
She was a devout Catholic and a communicant of St.
She is survived by one son, Thomas W. Colina, Jr and his wife Ilene R. Colina of Tijeras, New Mexico; one daughter, Agnes Colina Lutes and her husband W. Scott Lutes of Middlebury and one grandson, Patrick M. Jordan of Nashua, NH.
