Agnes Cecilia (Darko) Leone passed away peacefully from her residence in Montgomery,
Texas to be at home with the Dear Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 27,
2010. She was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on May 8, 1931, the daughter of the
late Frank J. and Elizabeth C. (Shuki) Darko. She was a member of the Sacred Heart
Catholic Church in Conroe, Texas.
Agnes loved everyone and did what she could to help and understand them Her passion was cooking and baking, especially new recipes. (No one ever went away hungry). She also loved gardening and grew the most beautiflul roses.
Agnes was preceded in death by her late husband, James, in 2002. They were married 51 years. Surviving are four loving daughters: Sandra Pellenz of Spring. Texas, Dianne Heckathorn and husband Michael of Midland, Cleorgia, Victona Leone Smith of Kissirnmee, Florida, and Kathleen Leone and husband Gregg Neitzke of Caniano Island, Washington. She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren:
Daryl Pellenz, Brian and William Hawkins, Joel and Heather Smith and Danan and Devin Pellenz. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all including her sisters Hilda and husband John Martino, Nancy Fauth, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Main Street, Greensburg, PA on Saturday, from 6:00 to 8;00 P.M. and on
Sunday, from 2:00 a” 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. A prayer service will be
held at 9:00 am.
Blessed Sacrament Cathedral 300 N. Main St. Greensburg at 9:30 AM.
Entombment will follow at Twin Valley
Memorial Park .
