Agatha M. Jansen
Fairville – Agatha Maude Jansen, 90 entered eternity on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
Family and friends may call Wednesday (April 17) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Norman L.
Mrs. Jansen was born the daughter of the late Warren and Satie (VerHuele) Pierce on Wednesday, October 18, 1922 in her present home in Fairville. She was a 1941 graduate of Newark High School and had worked at Garlock for a few years. Mrs. Jansen was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fairville, then when it closed she became a member of the First United Methodist Church in Newark. There she was a member of the Rebecca Ruth Circle and the UMW Group. Mrs. Jansen was a Girl Scout Leader for several years.
Mrs. Jansen will be remembered by her daughters Judy Jansen of Newark and Sharon (Richard) Steiner of Canandaigua; grandsons Jeffrey (Dena) and Gregory (Susan) Steiner; five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and many friends.
Mrs. Jansen was predeceased by her husband Jacob C. Jansen Jr. on Sept. 27, 1990; brothers Earl and Harold Pierce.
