It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Adrian Diaz, 33, of Lafayette, on February 22, 2022.

Adrian was born on November 6, 1988, to Juan Diaz and Marta Rosas in Los Angeles, CA. After Adrian graduated from McCutcheon High School in 2006, he went on to pursue his passion for this art.

He’s survived by his father Juan Diaz, mother Marta Rosas, sister Andrea Avila, and brothers Gabriel Diaz, Ubaldo Diaz, and Josue Diaz.

At a very young age, Adrian was an artist at heart. At 12 years old he won a mascot t-shirt design contest for his drawings. From there on he continued his passion for art by airbrushing t-shirts for special occasions, sketching meaningful drawings of people’s loved ones, tattooing, along with gardening, fishing, and listening to Oldie’s music. Because he was a perfectionist, he exceeded any expectation and crushed his goals. He was always working very hard and never giving up!

In 2009 he started working as a car detailer and quickly moved up to be a car painter. He loved his career and was very dedicated. By 2018 Adrian and brother Ubaldo joined their expertise in the field of auto paint tech that helped create one of the fastest growing paint shops in the region.

Adrian went on to have 2 beautiful girls, Angeleen and Aleyana Diaz with their mother Anabel Bustos. Adrian was an amazing loving and loyal man, and a wonderful father to his daughters. In his short time on earth, he shaped them to be a mini version of himself, the most kindhearted and humble human beings.

Although he had many more roles than the ones mentioned, his most important one was to be the best father to his daughters. This was his proudest accomplishment.

From this day on we will look up at the sky and know we have an angel watching over us. He made us all extremely proud.

Adrian will be laid to rest in Meadow View Cemetery in Lafayette, Indiana.
