Adra Fern (Stein) Plumlee, March 14, 1944 – May 5, 2021.
Mrs. Plumlee died Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at Luvida Memory Care in Belton.
Mrs. Plumlee was born to Lester and Maxine Stein on March 14, 1944, in Fay, Oklahoma. She graduated high school in 1962 in Watonga, OK. She married Edwin Crouse in 1965 in Watonga and they had one daughter in 1971. She worked for Ditch Witch in Perry, OK until they divorced in 1979. She and Dana moved back to Watonga, where she worked for Morgan & Benson attorney’s office until 1987 as a legal secretary. While working in Watonga she met Clyde Plumlee and married in 1985 moved to Hinton soon after. She worked for 3M Company while living in Hinton until 1998 when she retired.
She worked part-time for the Buzby Law Office in Anadarko until 2001 when her twin grandbabies were born. Clyde passed away in 2004 and she moved to Texas in 2005 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. She enjoyed getting to see her grandkids everyday and being a part of their growing up years. She got to be an integral part of their childhood and be there for the dance classes and soccer games, school functions and got to be the best Mimi ever. When the Everetts moved to Temple, Texas in 2012, she followed them. She lived in a retirement community where she gained many friends and got to play dominoes and bingo and enjoyed playing music on her piano. Her health/memory began to fail in 2014 and she was diagnosed with Alzhiemers.
She was a member of Early FUMC in Early, Texas where she was the church secretary and played piano.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Clyde Plumlee. She leaves behind her daughter Dana and husband Jerry Everett, granddaughter Jalyn Everett all of Belton; grandson Jenson Everett of San Diego, CA, brother Harlan Stein and wife Shirley of Okemah, OK; one sister Rhonda Harris and husband Merle of Oklahoma City, OK and a host of nieces and nephews.
