Adele was called home by our Lord on Monday, September 13, 2021 after a full life as a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother. Adele was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Philadelphia, PA. In 1960 she married the love of her life, her late husband Richard A. (Dick) Schmid. Over the years they and their three children moved around the country for Dick’s job and lived in Key West, FL, Sioux City, IA, Washington state, St. Louis, MO, Eagan, MN, Peachtree City, GA and Apple Valley, MN. She retired as an Executive Assistant working for a Minneapolis advertising agency before she settled in Newnan to be near family. Adele was a loving mother to and is survived by 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Her legacy will live on through her children: Donna (John) Schmeltzer, Laura (Paul) Harrison, Steven (Stephanie) Schmid and her Grandchildren: Alex Schmeltzer, Matthew (Katie) Schmeltzer, Adam Harrison, Zachary Schmid and Lillian Schmid.
