Adele P. Lowe-Dee, 67, of Fruitland, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016. She was born Aug. 16, 1948, in Flagstaff, Arizona. to John A. and Virginia Lowe.
For 25 years, Adele worked at the San Juan County Sheriff’s Department as a Records Technician-Patrol where she received acknowledgment for being the first Native American woman to retire from the department. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed traveling and being outdoors, whether it was to farm or to hike the trails of South Mountain in Phoenix, Ariz. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren, teaching, and laughing with them. These are some of the things that brought her joy.
Adele was preceded in death by her parents, John A. and Virginia Lowe; sister, Shirley Lowe; and grandchild, Gavyn Belin.
