Adelaide R. D’Ambrosi, age 89, of Norwalk, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, at the Norwalk Hospital. She was the wife of the late Joseph S. D’Ambrosi. Born in Yonkers NY on December 14, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Vincent J. and Lucia Schiavone Romano and had lived in Norwalk for most of her life. Adelaide had been a member of St. Matthew Parish for over 50 years. She was an amazing cook, loved to shop, and adored her family. She also enjoyed traveling with her late husband.
Survivors include her daughter, Adrienne D. Moriarty and her husband Jack of Norwalk, grandchildren Jason Burke and Lauren Burke, her brother John Romano of Norwalk, and several nieces and nephews. Adelaide was also predeceased by her siblings Alfred and Vincent “Jimmy” Romano, Elvira Muoio, Ann Fanali and Celia Altobelli.
