Adee Cook, 93, of Tinton Falls, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, New Jersey. He was born on November 20, 1922 in Jackson, North Carolina to Norman and Pattie Cook.
After his honorable discharge, he worked for Long Branch New York Railroad. He then ran a local record sales and TV repair shop. As a lifelong resident of the Neptune/Asbury Park area, many knew “Mr. Cook” as a cab driver for Weneeda Cab Company in Neptune, New Jersey. He loved fishing, playing cards, checkers, and chess, and watching football and baseball.
He was predeceased by his father, Norman Cook; mother, Pattie Mangum Cook; brother, Stanley Cook; four sisters, Katherine Cook, Betty Cook, Marjorie Foy, and Laura Cook.
He leaves to celebrate his life four daughters, Beverly Brown of Ocean Township, NJ, Argean Cook of Willingboro, NJ, Shelly and her husband Mike Reevey of Neptune, NJ, and Adeen Bryson of Neptune, NJ; three sons, Stanley and his wife Nelly of Yuma, AZ, Adee Jr. of New Jersey, and Alvin of Neptune, NJ; sister, Louise Crudup of Neptune, NJ; brother, Chester Cook of Neptune, NJ; ten grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
