TIZIO Adam, 82, a life long resident of Jersey City, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at Christ Hospital in Jersey City.
Adam was a crane operator for PSE&G in Linden for 35 years before retiring in 1976. He was also a member of PSE&G Retirement Club.
Adam served in the Army Air Force during WWII with the rank of Sergeant in Headquarter Squadron 53rd TC Wing. He was the former vice commander of American Legion Beacon Post 419, Jersey City. He was also a member of the Ukrainian American Veteran’s Society of Spring Valley, NY. He also organized parties for the Veteran’s Home’s in Paramus, Lyons & Menlo Park, NJ.
Adam was a past president of the Ukrainian Center & National Home, Jersey City. He was the former president of the Holy Name Society of Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Jersey City. He also organized many childrens & civic activities in the Ukrainian Community.
Beloved husband of the late Olga (nee Guralchuk), devoted father of William & Joseph Tizio, loving grandfather of Adam & Brian Tizio, dear brother of Michael & the late Gregory & Olga, loving father-in-law of Mary, beloved godfather of Anastasia Syby & Michael Tizio.
