Adam “Skip” Franklin McDaniel, 82 of Newburg, WV, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at Preston Memorial Hospital. He was born November 20, 1928 in Newburg, WV, son of the late Henry N and Clarice J Loughrie McDaniel. Adam loved his family and gardening. He was a retired coalminer. He is survived by his wife, Linda L (McGinnis) McDaniel, two sons, Harold N McDaniel and wife Jennifer of Newburg, Adam F McDaniel and wife Jimmi of Moundsville; two grandchildren, Averi L and Autumn I McDaniel; one sister Mary Lou Wolfe and husband James “Bud” of Newburg; two brothers, Fred D McDaniel and wife Nancy of Philippi, Nathan McDaniel and wife Judy of Newburg; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Adam was preceded in death by two brother, Thomas J and wife Madeline McDaniel, Charles G and wife Josephine McDaniel, two sisters, Eloise and husband Woodrow Wilt, and Nancy Minton, two grandchildren, Adam Franklin McDaniel III and Mary Isabelle McDaniel.
