Adam Christopher Knapp, age 32, of Beckemeyer entered into rest on Sunday, May 8, 2016 in Beckemeyer. Adam was born on December 1, 1983 in Breese, Illinois the son of Kevin and Lisa (Thurman) Knapp. He was preceded in death by his father, Kevin; his grandparents William “Bill” and Barbara Thurman, his grandfather James “Jim” Knapp, his uncle Kenny Knapp, and his cousin Jacob Hill. Adam is survived by his mother Lisa Knapp and special friend Mike Tate of Beckemeyer; his brother Cody Aldrich of Breese, two sisters: Mallory Edwards of Beckemeyer, and Lindsey Knapp of Breese, his nephew Camryn Belcher; several aunts and uncles: James (Debbie) Knapp, Ron (Janel Esker) Knapp, Brian (Melinda) Knapp, Pat Knapp, Kyle Knapp, Cory (Susan) Knapp, Sue (Steve) Weishaar, Beverley (Sheldon) Carter, Dodie (Jack) Rose, William (Barbara) Thurman, Dennis (Rhonda) Thurman, Rev. Bruce (Pat) Thurman, Jim (Jan) Butler, Jesse Butler, and Nancy (Melvin) Hill; his grandmother Marcella Knapp, as well as many cousins and friends, specifically his special friend Kara Rakers, who stood by him through good and bad. Adam enjoyed fishing, golfing, and barbecues. He carried the family’s love of music and played anytime he got the chance. Adam worked at Super Value as a union meat cutter for 10 years. He left many memories to those that knew him and will be greatly missed by all.
