Ada Risvold, 80, of Ottawa, died Friday evening, June 10, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Ada was born March 26, 1931 in Freedom Township to Ole and Borghild (Naerland) Alsvig. She graduated in 1949 from Serena High School. She married Bernard J. Risvold on June 7, 1958 in Newark. He died July 8, 2005. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church and AARP. She retired from Ace Hardware in Oakbrook where she was a computer operator for many years.
She is survived by two sisters, Ardella (Chester) Hatland and Ruth (Raymond) Stephens both of Ottawa; one brother, Gordon (Jean) Alsvig of Marseilles; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a devoted and loving aunt who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard; three sisters, Amy Alsvig, Bernice Alsvig and Betty Lockrem; one brother, Oluf Alsvig.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Sanders, Dan and Phillip Hatland, Rob Stephens, Gary, Tim and Mark Hoaglund and Kevin Ahern.
