Achilles Nicholas “Bill” Haskos, 82 of Orange, died peacefully on Oct. 16, 2013 in the St. Raphael’s Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Helen Karajanis Haskos. Born in Douliana, Greece on Aug. 1, 1931, he was the son of the late Nicholas Haskos Floros and Ekaterini Panayiotopoulos Haskos. He came to this country in 1959 and worked as a painting contractor until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing his clarinet. He was also known for making an excellent raki. He is survived by his son, Nick (Andrea) Haskos of Orange; son in law, Keith Barry; and four grandchildren, Niko, Alex, Eleni & Liana; and a vast extended family. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kathryn Haskos Barry and two brothers, John N. Haskos and Pano N. (Peter) Haskos.
