On April 13, 2014, Abundio Rojo Jr., our beloved husband and father was received into the loving arms of Jesus with his family by his side.

He was born in Oxnard, CA, on November 9, 1947.

Junior, as he was known by many, had a love for the Chicano lifestyle. He loved being around his family and friends, and enjoyed listening to his oldies and having a “cold one.” He was an avid collector of rare and vintage cars and trinkets.

Abundio is also survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Rose Marie Rojo; his daughters, Virginia Rojo and Lisa Garcia (Bobby); sons, Frank Rojo (Happy), and John Rojo of Colorado Springs, CO. He loved all of his 18 grand children and eight great grandchildren. He also leaves behind five sisters, one brother; goddaughter, Veronica Contreras and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Helen and Abundio Sr. Rojo.

“Some day you will read in the papers that D. L. Moody, of East Northfield, is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it! At that moment I shall be more alive than I am now. I shall have gone up higher, that is all-out of this old clay tenement into a house that is immortal; a body that death cannot touch, that sin cannot taint, a body fashioned like unto his glorious body. I was born of flesh in 1837. I was born of the spirit in 1856. That which is born of the flesh may die. That which is born of the spirit will live forever.” D.L.
