Aaron Michael Kallhoff, 40, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021, in Des Moines. Aaron was born November 22, 1980, in Des Moines, IA, to Alfred and Bonnie (Arehart) Kallhoff. He served in the US Marines from 2001-2003.
Aaron worked as a Mechanic for many years, helping those who were unable to afford to go to a shop. Being hands on and mechanically inclined, he enjoyed working on vehicles, and crafting or creating things for others. He loved to be outdoors, fishing and camping and just being anywhere in nature. Aaron’s son, Breken, was his life. He will be forever loved and missed by anyone lucky enough to have known him.
Aaron is survived by his son, Breken Kallhoff; daughter, Haley Zamin; brothers, Greg (Hilary) Kallhoff of Panora, IA, Brian Kallhoff of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Amy (Dale) Tobey of Kankakee, IL; parents; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernard Kallhoff, Lovina Kallhoff, Kenneth Arehart, Beulah Arehart; Uncles, Joseph Arehart, Michael Arehart, and Bernard Leo Kallhoff.
