Aaron accepted Jesus on Mother’s Day, May 14, 1978, and was baptized on October 8, 1978.
Aaron was raised in Paden City, WV and graduated from Paden City High School (PCHS) in June 1988. He was a member of the 1987 PCHS State Basketball championship team and was the first high school athlete to score a 3 pointer at a state tournament. He continued his love of sports on the Glenville State College football team. He then attended and graduated from West Liberty State College with a bachelor’s degree in communications. After college, he was a basketball and football referee for the OVAC league, and this too brought him great enjoyment.
He was employed by the state of WV and then as a chemical worker for most of his adult life.
Aaron’s proudest achievement was being a father to four wonderful sons. He is survived by his parents, Howard and Linda Jones of Alamogordo; his sons, Brannon (Brittany) Jones, Ryan Jones, Shawn Jones, Evan Jones, all of Middlebourne, WV; sister, Heather (Rick) Resseger of Santa Rosa, CA; 2 nephews; 1 niece; and 1 great niece.
He loved watching superhero movies with his sons and cheering them on in all their activities and achievements. He was a movie and 80’s music aficionado, and collector. He was loved immensely by his family and friends, and he loved his family more than anything else in this world.
Aaron will be missed by all that knew him and loved him, but we find peace in knowing that he is in the arms of Jesus now with no more pain or suffering.
