HARWINTON – A. Jean Johnson, 97, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Born November 26, 1921 in Bridgeport; the daughter of the late Herve and Margaret (Schalich) Dube. Jean was an avid bird watcher, reader and UCONN Women’s Basketball fan. She loved her dogs, Mikey and Christy. She also enjoyed knitting. Jean is survived by her son, Don “DJ” Johnson and wife Katherine of Sandisfield; grandson, Brian Johnson and wife Stephanie of East Hartland; great grandchildren, Trevor and Alaina, both of East Hartland; and many close nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her son Mark, a sister, Mary Neddermann and a brother, Albert Dube. The family would like to express their gratitude to her recent caregiver, Raquel Peguero for her care and kindness.
