DURHAM- Mr. Andrew George Hales, 87, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.
Mr. Hales was born on December 20, 1932 to Milford and Ida Hales in Johnston County, NC. He proudly served in the United States Navy for two years, then served as a Baptist Minister for 35 years. George loved to serve the Lord and his community. He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known him.
Mr. Hales was preceded in death by his parents, Milford and Ida Hales; his wife, Carolyn King Hales; brothers, Earl, James, and J.V. “Tom” Hales; sisters, Rudean Boykin, Doris Perry, Annie Adams, and Yvonne O’Briant.
Mr. Hales is survived by his son, David Hales (Teresa Spell) of Powhatan, VA; daughter, Jo Jones (David Carroll); and grandson, Joshua Hales of Tampa, FL.
